Touch Therapy (Reiki) Offered

01.

Individual therapy refers to one-on-one mental health treatment that is personalized to suit your individual unique needs.  Individual therapy can help you understand and accept challenging aspects of your life, improve  quality of life and cultivate deeper human relationships, develop coping strategies, gain a better understanding of yourself, learn how to handle difficult emotions, identify underlying causes of symptoms and manage them more effectively, improve communication skills, and increase self-esteem.  Individual therapy involves conducting a comprehensive mental health evaluation, setting therapeutic goals, processing issues, and learning to identify triggers in order to live a healthier life.

02.

Mindfulness-based therapy is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy with interventions that focus on cultivating present-moment awareness (shifting attention from the past or future to the current experience) and non-judgmental acceptance of thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations (accepting thoughts and feelings as they arise rather than trying to suppress or control them).  This approach aims to improve mental health by enhancing self-regulation, reducing stress, and promoting emotional well-being.  People experiencing conditions like anxiety, depression, chronic pain, stress, insomnia, addiction, eating disorders, PTSD, and chronic illness like fibromyalgia can benefit from mindfulness-based therapy (MBT).

03.

Couples therapy helps improve relationships by addressing conflicts, enhance communication, build stronger bonds, allow for exploration of issues, and develop healthier ways to interact with one another in a safe neutral space.  Focus areas include (but not limited to) communication skills, trust building, understanding each other's perspectives, resolving disagreements, and identifying underlying issues such as poor communication patterns, lack of emotional intimacy, infidelity, sexual concerns,  unresolved emotional pain, parenting challenges, poor conflict resolution, or family enmeshments.  Couples learn to have effective open dialogue, express feelings appropriately and honestly, and develop strategies to interact with increased calm and ease.

04.

Trauma-informed helps people overcome the effects of traumatic events.  It can be especially beneficial for people with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).  Trauma-informed treatment integrates an awareness of trauma into every aspect of treatment while making safety a priority for clients.  By gradually exposing the yourself to the trauma or stressors, the therapist guide you into restructuring harmful thoughts and behaviors.  Between 77% and 100% of patients who attend regular, customized trauma therapy sessions will see a reduction in their symptoms. Trauma therapy is for those with obvious trauma and also beneficial for racial trauma, people with a history of depression and anxiety, emotional trauma, or any type of trauma. Whether you're navigating past trauma, managing trauma symptoms, or coping after a traumatic event, trauma therapy can make all the difference in your mental well-being.

Reiki touch is a complementary therapy relating to biofield energy therapy, which is a healing system.  It works through the transfer of universal energy from the practitioner's palms to the client.  Reiki is offered through light, non-invasive touch with the practitioner's hands placed and held on a series of locations on the body.  Reiki can enable relaxation, relieve tension headaches, decrease anxiety and stress, reduce pain, speed wound healing, and improve function in those with arthritis.  Studies show that therapeutic touch stimulates cell growth.  Reiki is considered a safe energy healing modality; no side effects have been associated with this practice.  Reiki session length is 45-minutes, and the cost is $165.
